Tourism Youth Congress

Washington Archibald High School has won the Tourism Youth Congress Competition organized by the Ministry Of Tourism and the St. Kitts Tourism Authority.

Following presentations in two categories, student Chinue Bradshaw scored 514 points winning the top prize for her school.

The competition was held at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel on Friday and saw four high schools competing for the top sport.

Mauriel Knight of Basseterre High placed second with 510 points, Zareef Davis of Verchilds High was third with 469 points and Patrina Perreira of Saddlers Secondary School placed fourth with 441 points.

According to officials the event allows students the opportunity to share critical ideas about tourism.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Of Tourism Carlene Henry Morton said the competition will benefit the students in several ways.

As the winner Bradshaw will represent St. Kitts Nevis as a junior minister at the Caribbean Tourism Organization Regional Competition later this year.

The Tourism Youth Congress is part of the part of the Caribbean Tourism Organizations’ Youth Awareness Programme for students from CTO member countries.
