St. Kitts and Nevis and Lithuania establish diplomatic relations

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 28TH 2012 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis and Lithuania have established diplomatic relations.

St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas and Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Audronius Azubalis signed the relevant documents on the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries.

The new relationship will stimulate bilateral cooperation in international organizations – the United Nations and its specialized agencies.

Cooperation with the African, Caribbean and pacific counties is significant in the context of the European Union policy.
