“Services Go Global” Seminar

Director of the Small Business Development Centre (SBDC), Phillip Browne

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 11, 2019 (ZIZ News): Officials from the services sector gathered at the St. Kitts Marriott resort on Wednesday for the “Services Go Global” seminar.

Participants were guided through a 4 stage roadmap which consist of preparing your business for export, conducting market research, developing a market strategy and entering the market.

Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Phillip Browne explained why this initiative was developed.

“The initiative was developed by Caribbean Export to seek to optimise the Cariforum regions export of services by building capacity of service providers to capitalize on opportunities under the economic partnership agreement or EPA, Caricom Single Market and other party trade agreements.”

He also said that this initiative is hoping to establish a team of certified trainers for the services go global platform which is geared at providing assistance to the small and medium enterprises in the services sector.

The seminar will run from September 11- 13 starting at 8:30 am.
