Seaga to step down as PFAJ head

Kingston, Jamaica — Former Prime Minister Edward Seaga says he will resign as chairman of the Professional Football Association of Jamaica (PFAJ), effective Tuesday, September 1.

Seaga made the announcement Monday morning at the launch of the new Premier League football season.

The void will be filled by highly regarded pollster Don Anderson, who was already a member of the PFAJ board.

Seaga, 85, will remain chairman of the Premier League Clubs Association (PLCA).
