Sand sculpting competition

(ZIZ News) — On Sunday the Department of Youth Empowerment hosted a beach event to bring fathers and children together.

The Father Child Sand Sculpting Competition was held at the Marriott Beach.

Three father child teams took part in the competition and Youth Officer Jermaine Pemberton said the goal is to strengthen the bond between fathers and daughters through a fun activity.

The competition was held in observance of International Day of Families, on May 15.

The theme of international day of families 2016 is “Families, Healthy Lives and Sustainable Future.”
