Rotary Holds Successful Prostate Screenings

(ZIZ News) – The Rotary Club of St. Kitts in partnership with the Lodge Group held its 2nd annual Free Prostate Screening at the Masonic Lodge at Taylor’s Range.

Director of Public Relations for the Rotary Club of St. Kitts, Natalie John said there was a strong turnout.

On Saturday, over 300 men registered, provided their medical history, and had blood tests done. The screening was then administered by an oncologist in a private cubicle.

Last year over 150 men were screened, of which 23 returned abnormal results translating to 14 men diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The Rotary Club of St. Kitts offers the free screening once per year.

However, the club urges all men to see a doctor and get checked.
