Reassurance about landfill fires

ZIZ News—17th September, 2013–General Manager of the Solid Waste Management Corporation Alphonso Bridgewater has assured Conaree Residents that although fires at the landfill have caused concern, the landfill itself has one of the best statistical histories of fires.

He says the new Baler that has arrived will allow them to reduce the likelihood of fires even further by compressing and wrapping the waste cutting off any oxygen supply for a fire.
