Prime Minister Drew To Visit Trinidad and Tobago

Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, January 28, 2026 (PMO) – Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, who also serves as the Chair of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), will make an official visit to Trinidad and Tobago this week as part of his ongoing engagement with regional leaders.

During the visit, Dr. Drew is expected to meet with the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Hon. Kamla Persad-Bissessar, along with members of her Cabinet and senior officials, to discuss matters of regional importance.

Prime Minister Drew will be accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community, Dr. Carla Barnett.

The meeting forms part of the Chair’s deliberate focus on face-to-face dialogue with Heads of Government across the Community, aimed at strengthening cooperation, deepening collaboration, and advancing shared regional priorities.

This engagement follow recent visits to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Antigua and Barbuda where Dr. Drew met with Prime Minister, Dr. Hon. Godwin Friday,  and Hon. Gaston Browne as part of his continuing outreach across CARICOM member states.
