Police investigating Nevis Shooting

ZIZ News — The police in Nevis have taken a young man into custody in connection with the shooting of his father.

According to a police statement the Violent Crime Unit on Nevis is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday at or about 10:30 pm at Pinney’s Beach.

Initial investigations revealed that Shawn “Fisherman” Chatram of Stoney Grove was attacked by an assailant, whom he identified as his son.

Chatram received multiple gunshot injuries.

His son is currently in police custody for questioning.

Shawn “Fisherman” Chatram is in serious but stable condition and may require treatment outside the federation.
