PM Harris Describes OECS Authority Meeting As Informative

Prime Minister, Dr. Hon. Timothy Harris has completed his first OECS Authority Meeting with greater knowledge on policy initiatives.

He expressed this view on Thursday during a press conference in Dominica which signalled the end of the two-day meeting.

“This for me has been very informative, very instructive as a new head and I’ve learned much in terms of where we are at in terms of the integration process but more importantly how St. Kitts and Nevis can play an even greater role in advancing some of the policy initiatives with which we discussed and which we approve today,” he said.

Prime Minister Harris further commended the OECS Authority Chairman, Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell on leading the two-day discussion.

“The leadership of the long serving Prime Minister of Grenada has helped us through in a very efficient way what has been a very varied agenda list of items that touch on the practical lives of every citizen within the OECS,” he said.

The 62nd Annual Meeting of the OECS Authority took place in Dominica from November 18-19th. The next meeting is scheduled for May 20-21st in Anguilla or Montserrat.
