Play Offs Underway In Basil Challenger Cup

Sports Page—Tuesday 9th July 2013 — The excitement continues to mount as the Basil Challenger cup continues at the Bath Village Playing field. The league which is being hosted by the CCC Bath United Football Club is sponsored in the main by Caribbean Cable Communications.

The four top teams were on show on Sunday 7th July.

In game one, CCC Bath United one, defeated Hard times 2 goals to 1 in an exciting game. For the Bath team, the scorers were Shaheed Tyson and Malcolm MCBean. The lone goal scorer for the Hardtimes team was Clyde Griffin.

In an even more exciting match up in match two, Segment Boys and Stoney Grove Strikers went right down to the final whistle in a nail biter with the score line 1 goal-all.

Scoring for the Segment Boys was Akeem Taylor and for the Stoney Grove men, Kester Evans.

The action continues on Wednesday 10th July at the same venue.
