One Charged for Attempted Murder

(ZIZ News) – Police have arrested and charged Phoenix Grant Ryhs Southwell of Jones Street, Fortlands for the attempted murder of 20-year-old Cameron Liburd Jr. on the weekend.

According to a police report, Liburd was shot at about 9:50pm on Sunday.

Southwell was arrested and charged on Thursday for attempted murder.

Head of the Violent Crimes Unit, Detective Superintendent Mitchell thanked members of the public for their assistance leading up to the arrest, and encouraged a continued partnership as the police continue to focus on citizen safety in the Federation.
