New Scans Reveal Abnormally Low Blood Flow In Brains of Marijuana Users

As concerns grow that the legalization of marijuana is outpacing research into its possible side effects, a new study has shown that users of the herb have abnormally low blood flow in virtually every part of the brain.

Imaging of the brains of 1,000 marijuana users found all of them had widespread restrictions or build-ups of blood flow, while many had abnormal blood levels in areas affected by Alzheimer’s disease, such as the hippocampus.
