ZIZ discovered the article entitled, “This Tiny Caribbean Island Grows 44 Kinds of Mangoes” in the New York based magazine’s “Travel” column under “Most Popular Posts”.

The article highlights Nevis’ surplus of mangoes and makes mention of its wide variety of the sweet fruit ranging from the highly favoured Amory Polly to the Julie Mango, the Bombay mango and even the giant yellow Keiths, which are commonly referred to as Teenys.

It also boasts to tourists that the island is a host for thousands of mango trees that produce over 44 types of mangoes that are placed on display at the Nevis Annual Mango festival.

The piece which was written by writer, Naomi Tomky encourages visitors in search of “a sweet and quiet paradise” to visit the island. She teases that if guests want to taste the fruits of the “mango paradise”, “they would have to get there first”.
