Nevis Administration to hold 8th Consultation on the Economy
NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS — In preparation for the upcoming 2015 Nevis Island Administration (NIA) Budget, the Ministry of Finance, Statistics and Economic Planning will host its 8th annual Consultation on the Economy. The event will be held at the Nevis Performing Arts Theatre (NEPAC) on October 16, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The theme is “Expanding Opportunities for Prosperity and Equity.”
According to the Ministry of Finance, the consultation will help to facilitate a comprehensive dialogue between the public and private sectors, geared towards harnessing information that would be relevant to the development of Nevis.
The Premier of Nevis and Minister of Finance Hon. Vance Amory will give the feature address. Deputy Premier of Nevis and Minister of Tourism and Health Hon. Mark Brantley and Hon. Alexis Jeffers, Minister of Agriculture will present strategic visions of their respective ministries.
Other key presenters will be Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nevis Tourism Authority Greg Phillip, Manager of the Bank of Nevis International David Barron and local businessman Greg Hardtman.
