Motorcyclist Dies Following Crash

(ZIZ News) – The police are investigating the circumstances that led up to a fatal motorcycle accident on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police reports, sometime after 3pm on Wednesday, Shaquille Bertie of Paradise Estate, Nevis was riding motor bike P9684 along the island main road in Cotton Ground when he lost control and collided with a concrete column.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.

The police say an autopsy will be carried out at a later date.
