Megaresort VAT exemption stirs controversy in Bahamas

An email leaked to the press on Wednesday revealed that the Christie administration in The Bahamas has exempted China Construction America (CCA) Bahamas Limited, the lead construction firm on the multibillion dollar Baha Mar megaresort project, from paying value-added tax (VAT).
