Labour Party Preserves Its History in a New Book

HonMarcellaLiburdSKNLPAnnualConference2014B(ZIZ)– The St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party has preserved its history for posterity in a book called, “For the Good That We Can Do.”

The book, which was written by Canadian Author, Ken Tilley, was officially launched in 2013 by SKNLP Leader and Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas.

During the party’s recently concluded 82nd annual conference, SKNLP Chairperson, Hon. Marcella Liburd, underscored the importance of such a book in her welcome remarks.

“I want you to remember that we are the only organization that has documented our history because really we are the only organization around. ‘For the Good that We Can Do’ you can get it…it’s a mere $25 for the history of the Labour movement. Take it for yourself, your family, send it to your friends overseas, keep it, give it to children so they can read the history of this country because the history of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party and the history of St. Kitts and Nevis are intertwined,” Minister Liburd explained.

“For The Good That We Can Do” is available for purchase at the Labour Party Annex which is located upstairs Mystique Photo World on Church Street.
