Internet Exchange Point to Be Launched

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 7, 2019 (ZIZ News): The National ICT Center where the Department of Technology is housed is currently preparing to introduce an internet exchange point in the federation.

Minister of Communications Hon. Vincent Byron said the introduction of this exchange point will eliminate having emails sent locally from being transmitted off island before being delivered to the intended recipient.

The communications minister said the internet exchange point will assist in making the process of doing business in the federation easier.

Minister Byron said the work that is being done attracts foreign direct investors in all fields who can live and work here and contribute to making the society better and more protected.
