GG Signs Book Of Condolence

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 5, 2020 (ZIZ News): The Governor-General His Excellency Sir S W Tapley Seaton, GCMG,CVO,QC,JP, LL.D on Thursday morning visited the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and signed the Book of Condolence in respect of the recent passing of former President of Taiwan Lee Teng-hui.

The Governor-General described the late President as a true patriot and visionary and paid tribute to his role in the creation of Taiwan as a democratic State and ensuring that today it is one of the leading democracies in the world.

The Governor-General reaffirmed the longstanding close alliance between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan.

His Excellency the Governor-General had earlier transmitted a Message of Condolence to President Tsai Ing-Wen on July 30, 2020.
