Five awarded at Labour Day Banquet
(ZIZ News) — The Sandy Point Benevolent Society (SPBS) honoured the contribution of five men and women of St. Kitts and Nevis during its fourth annual awards banquet held at the prestigious maestro’s banquet hall in the Bronx, New York, on Saturday August 30.
Honoured for their sterling contributions to the federation in the arts, business and community service were Seymour “Tally” Davis, Dr. Frank Mills, Patricia Ross-Lake, Lionel “Benjax” Benjamin and Robelto “Tango” Glasgow.
In his presentation, Dr. Frank Mills spoke of the vision of the nation’s first Prime Minister and the major developments that have come as a result of his vision, namely the development of the South East Peninsula.
He also lauded the current leadership of Prime Minister, the right hon. Dr Denzil Douglas for the development policies that he has continued with “a view to set the federation on an upward trajectory.”
The evening was held under the patronage of Randolph Massachusetts town councillor, Honourable Kenrick Clifton and ambassador to the USA, Jacinth Henry-Martin.
