Fast cash has self programme “Covered”
(EMU) Coordinator of the Student Education Learning Fund (SELF) Ms. Donna Bassue has welcomed a significant donation from Fast Cash to supplement the educational advancement of students in the Federation.
The donation including 1000 textbook covers as well as book repair items costing approximately EC$3000.00 were accepted by Ms. Bassue who said they were “timely and will be used to enhance the Ministry’s book distribution and maintenance efforts.”
Country manager of Fast Cash (KN) Ltd Ms. Alice James stated, “We are elated that our donation will go a long way to further assist the Ministry of Education’s Self Programme and the hundreds of students who will benefit.”
Ms. James elaborated that Fast Cash opened its doors to the public in St. Kitts-Nevis in 2011 to provide small cash advances to those who need quick access to funds to meet immediate needs. “The advances are repaid in installments over a short period of time via automatic salary deductions,” she further revealed.
The SELF Coordinator drew parallels to the objective of the SELF programme and that of Fast Cash in ensuring that persons in financial need can reach their goals and are not hampered by financial constraints.
Fast Cash told the Education Media unit that it takes its corporate responsibility seriously and will continue to give back to its clients and the community at large. In May 2013 they created an Education Drive which targeted the Ministry of Education and several government schools around the island. Earlier this month Fast Cash collaborated with the Essence of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation to raise awareness about Breast Cancer.
