Duggins Highlights Artist Showcase In Nigeria
BASSETERRE: The Honorable Samal Duggins has highlighted the continued expansion of Saint Kitts and Nevis’ cultural presence in Nigeria.
He announced that local visual artist Vaughn Anslyn is part of the Federation’s delegation in Nigeria, where he is showcasing his work.
“I am proud to share that Vaughn Anslyn, one of our Federation’s outstanding visual artists, is part of our delegation in Nigeria, where he will be showcasing his art work and unveiling his painting “Afro-Caribbean” — a piece that will now be permanently mounted in the Afri-Caribbean Cultural Centre in Abuja,” the Minister said.
A feature of the visit will be the unveiling of Anslyn’s painting titled “Afro Caribbean,” which will be permanently displayed at the Afri Caribbean Cultural Centre in Abuja.
“This is more than an exhibition. This is legacy. This is presence,” Duggins said.
The Minister also said the initiative represents a growing cultural legacy and a stronger global presence for the Federation’s creative sector.
Also contributing to this effort is Director of Culture, Pierre Liburd, who continues to support the development and promotion of local art and identity.
The engagement forms part of broader efforts to showcase the talent, stories, and cultural expression of the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis on the international stage.
