Sports Page — One of the major events on the Drag Racing calendar will take place this coming weekend.

The race meet which is popularly referred to as the Winfest Drag Race event has been confirmed.

According to CJ Bartlette at the Drag Racing Unit, apart from the local racers from Nevis ad St.Kitts, Montserrat will be represented with (5) cars and there will be (5) from Anguilla as well.

Saturday 23rd May will be the day for qualifying, registration and test & tune. Gates open from 8am.

The registration fee for Bikes: EC$50.00, 10 – 14sec cars: EC$100.00, 8 mile cars: EC$150.00. This fee is not refundable. This fee covers the driver and (2) two crew members. Additional crew member will cost EC$50.00 each.

Sunday 24th May, the gates will open from 8am.

Those racers who did not get to register on Saturday can do so before 12 noon on race day.

Once the competition starts, registration will be closed.

All racers are kindly asked to show up at the track early.

Cash prizes will remain the same and the payout method will be via Cheque.
