Dr. William Connor Primary Wins 2026 Championship

BASSETERRE — Dr. William Connor Primary School claimed the 2026 St. Kitts Primary School Netball Championship last Thursday, defeating Deane Glasford Primary School 16–13 in a hard-fought final at the Pam Tyson Netball City.

The champions trailed early in the match but steadily built momentum, closing out the contest when it mattered most to secure the title.

Shooter Shania Jarvis led the offensive charge with 9 goals from 14 attempts, while Jian Taylor added 7 goals from 10 attempts. Taylor’s standout tournament also earned her the Most Valuable Player of the Competition award, along with Most Accurate Shooter and Zone 2 Most Valuable Player honors. Teammate Zencia Cannonier was recognized as Best Attacking Player.

Deane Glasford Primary School finished as runner-up after a competitive campaign that organizers described as marked by heart and resilience. Kalea Bryan was singled out as an outstanding player for the team in the final, and teammate Isabella Collins was named Zone 3 Most Valuable Player.

In the consolation final, St. Paul’s Primary School edged Newton Ground Primary School 10–9 to take third place. Khalessia Henry of St. Paul’s and Jacenia Powell of Newton Ground were recognized as outstanding players in that match. St. Paul’s K’Zonae Blake capped a strong tournament, earning Best Defending Player and Zone 1 Most Valuable Player.
