CFBC to partner with the ACCC

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 21, 2013 (SKNIS): The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) will soon partner with the Association for Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) to help improve Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes available, agriculture being the main area of focus.

Andrew Abraham, Dean of the Technical Division at CFBC shared how the college’s agricultural programme, which comprises of Agribusiness, Agrotechnology, and Agricultural Science, will benefit from the partnership.

“Agriculture is a new programme that has been implemented at CFBC and we feel that partnering with institutions in Canada who have the experience and capacity to help us here in St. Kitts will be beneficial,” Mr. Abraham revealed.

He added that the CFBC will get the kind of support that is needed and expose the students to the level of training that is out there and the very best training that is available.

The Ministry of Education believes that the development of the TVET programme will help to boost our economy as there will be an increase in skilled workers thus contributing to the elimination of poverty in the Federation.

Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College will launch its partnership in February 2013.
