Carty Outlines Curriculum Advancements

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 31, 2013 (SKNIS): Today wraps up a four day Curriculum Review and Development training workshop, hosted by the Ministry of Education

Speaking to the participants Minister of Education, Hon. Nigel Carty spoke about specifc programs to enhance curriculum development.

He also spoke about the launch of a local history textbook, thanks to assistance from UNESCO.

The textbook is called “Places of Memory: The Experiences and Contributions of the Enslaved Africans in St. Kitts and Nevis”.

He asked participants to particularly focus on the transformation of Students to become the ideal citizen of St. Kitts and Nevis so that they can contribute positively to national development.
