Big Rock upstage experience

Sports Page — As the local second division fixtures continued, Big Rock got the better of the Masters’ Experienced team.

The experienced men batted first and with the Big Rock team only fielding seven players, they expected to score heavily but that was not the case.

They only managed 127 in their 20 allotted overs.

Joel Simmonds top scored with 38; A. Tyson 30; Gavin Wattley 28 and Junior Mills 14.

For the Big Rock team, Rakeesh bagged 4 wickets for 30 runs; Blair 2 for 18; Carlos Adolphus 1 for 21 and Rakes 1 for 29

The Big Rock team then stormed to victory in the final over: 129 for 4 in 19.3 overs: Rakeesh 48*; Carlos Adolphus 40 and Fraser 10.

For the Experienced team, Sterling Marshall 2 for 21; Charles Hendrickson 1 for 17 and Joel Simmonds 1 for 18.

Big Rock won by 6 wickets.
