Autopsy Confirms Cause of Death for Mikhail Liburd

The police have released the results of the autopsy performed on the body of shooting victim Mikhail Liburd.

According to a police release the autopsy was performed by forensic pathologist, Dr. Valery Alexandrov and he concluded that the cause of death was due to multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

Liburd was 32 years old at the time of his death. At about 10:15 P.M. On August 27, Liburd was visiting someone at Pine Gardens.

The police say as he was getting out of the vehicle, three armed men came out of the nearby bushes and opened fire on him. He was shot multiple times about the body. According to the police, he ran a short distance then fell. He died at the scene.

The police are making an appeal to the public to contact the Violent Crimes unit at 467-1887/1888 or 662-3468 or their nearest police station with any information they might have regarding this matter.
