Nevis Treasury destroyed

(ZIZ)– A fire in Nevis has completely destroyed the Treasury building.

According to Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Lyndon David the Police and Fire Department responded to a call just before 2 am where a fire had engulfed the Treasury building.

He said the Fire Department managed to put out the fire but the building was completely destroyed.

The Inland Revenue Department nearby was also burnt.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause.
