Partial Scope Agreement to Benefit Consumers

ZIZ News…May 9, 2012 — Minister of International Trade. The Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris says the partial scope agreement to be signed with Brazil on Friday, will bring a wide range of benefits for consumers.

The agreement not only allows the local manufacturers to export to Brazil more easily, it also allows Brazil to ship products here for sale.

“We would expect to see our wholesalers and so on target that market for a variety of products.” said Minister Harris. “We would want to see a wide array of business interests being consolidated with Brazil resulting in products of high quality and affordable prices and we know in particular the poultry and meat are two sectors in which Brazil is very strong as a country.”

He encouraged local companies to explore the Brazilian market to boost their businesses.
