Rotary Prostate Screening Drive

(ZIZ News) — The Rotary Club of St. Kitts will be hosting its Second Annual Free Prostate Screening Drive on Saturday, July 18 th under the theme “Early Detection Saves Lives”.

Rotary Club member, Dr. Ron Carty appealed to the male populace of St. Kitts between the ages 40 – 70 years to take advantage of this opportunity.

He encouraged men to dispel their fear of the screening procedure and get tested.

Dr. Carty noted that the first screening drive held last year received a poor turn out and said people should take it more seriously as it is the second leading cause of death in men.

Underscoring the motto for the event he highlighted the risk that Black men face, and urged those at risk to participate in the drive.

He noted that it is a free screening drive which is a part of the Rotary Club’s objective, to serve the society.
