Highlights beats Calypso

(Sports Page)— The Highlights team emerged victorious after completing a comprehensive victory over the Calypso Cricket team.

This as the local second division fixtures began in earnest on Saturday 7th March.

The Calypso Cricket team batted first and was bundled out for a mere 68 runs. The only score of note came from the bat of S. Jeffers, who scored 22.

For the Highlights team, Theron Bussue got 3 wickets; Winston Pemberton and Adrian Williams got 2 each and Wendell Wallace and Winston Perkins got 1 each.

The Highlights men wasted little time getting to the total—69 for 4 at the close.

Xavier Cornelius top scored with 25 and Nigel Browne scored 14.

For the Calypso team, Earl David and Ravindra Balgobin got 2 wickets each.

The Highlights team won by 5 wickets.
