Rotary Governor Visits

(ZIZ News) — The Rotary Club of Liamuiga and the Rotary Club of St. Kitts are this week hosting District 7030 Governor, Elwin Atmodimedjo of the Rotary Club Paramaribo Residence (Suriname).

That District includes the islands of the Eastern Caribbean as well as Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.

As part of his visit to the Federation, Governor Elwin will participate in meetings and fellowships with the local Rotary Clubs.

According to a statement, this visit comes at an opportune time in the Rotary year as January is celebrated as Rotary Awareness Month.

During his four-day visit, District Governor Elwin will also pay courtesy calls on His Excellency the Governor-General Sir Edmund Lawrence and Prime Minister the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.

He will also tour both islands.

District Governor Elwin and his wife Maureene will be in the Federation until January 13.
