ECCB Unveils Redesigned Banknotes
The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank has unveiled a new series of banknotes designed to celebrate the people, culture, heritage and achievements of the eight member countries of the Eastern Caribbean currency union.
The new one-hundred-dollar banknote features Nobel Laureate, Sir William Arthur Lewis, and St. Lucia’s First Prime Minister, Sir John Compton.
The fifty-dollar note honours St. Kitts And Nevis’ First Premier, Sir Robert Bradshaw, alongside former Eastern Caribbean Central Bank Governor, Sir Dwight Venner.
The twenty-dollar note features Antigua And Barbuda’s First Prime Minister, Sir Vere Bird Senior, and Dominica’s Former Prime Minister, Dame Mary Eugenia Charles.
The ten-dollar note showcases Anguilla’s James Ronald Webster and Montserrat’s Henry Bramble, while the five-dollar note features St. Vincent And The Grenadines’ Robert Cato and Grenadian Olympic Champion, Sir Kirani James.
